To try to answer, IDB, Inter-American Development Bank provides a Qualitative and Quantitative
analysis of gender occupational segregation in several LAC countries. IDB main purpose is to promote economic and
social development in LAC, reduce poverty and increase social equity.

national policies that transcend to non-traditional sectors.

En América Latina y el Caribe, más del 50% de los usuarios de los sistemas de transporte público son mujeres. Sin embargo, no todos nuestros sistemas se diseñan teniendo en cuenta las necesidades y perspectivas de las mujeres. En el BID, nuestra meta es que las mujeres tengan las mismas oportunidades que los hombres dentro del sector, y que esto represente mejores sistemas de transporte para todos los usuarios.
