WILL invites global CEOs to discuss the importance of women in senior leadership positions.
Diversity and inclusion will also be discussed at the event.
On October 27, WILL (Women in Leadership in Latin America) holds the 6 th edition of Inviting Men to Debate. During unprecedented times, the event aims to highlight companies’ policies to promote gender equality, in addition to understand the difficulties when putting those policies into practice.
The event will be an online livestream and will be broadcasted by Estadão Economia.
The event will start at 11 am BRT (2 pm GMT) and end at 12:30 pm (3:30 GMT).
The participants will be: Carmine Di Sibio, Chairman and global CEO of EY; Pierre-André de Chalendar, Chairman and Global CEO of Saint Gobain Group; Michael C. Bush, global CEO of GPTW and Milton Beck, Senior Director of Linkedin Latin America.
“In such an atypical year, it is more important than ever to discuss the presence of women in leadership positions and racial inclusion”, says Silvia Fazio, president of WILL. “This sixth edition of our Conversation with Men is dedicated to all those women who were overwhelmed by work and home activities, while we all watch scenes of racism spread across the globe. Invisible barriers and systemic racism have been experienced by white and black women for decades. It seems that corporations are at last addressing such a long standing gap. Gaining the support of white male leaders can only speed up this process”, she adds.
The opening of the event will be made by the president of Goldman Sachs in Brazil, Maria Silvia Bastos Marques, and by the president of WILL, Silvia Fazio. The event is free and open to the public and will be in English.
